Leadership Development Opportunities for Teachers and Administrators (2000-2001)
- Leadership Seminar Series: "Creating the Future: Educational Leadership for Tomorrow's Schools"
Target Group: Principals, Vice-Principals, Teachers, Consultants
Format: 6 one-day seminars held during the year (3 Wednesdays; 3 Saturdays)
Number of participants: 15-20
Facilitator: Dr. Gerry Hopkirk, UPEI
- Saskatchewan Module: "The School-Based Administrator: Working with People"
Target Group: Vice-Principals, Teachers, Consultants
Format: 4-day intensive seminar (Wednesday - Saturday format)
Number of participants: 20
Facilitator: P.E.I. Educators
- Leader 1-2-3
Target Group: Principals, Vice-Principals, Consultants
Format: 1 evening + 3-day intensive seminar (Sunday - Wednesday format) with a follow-up session 2-3 months later
Number of participants: 12-16
Facilitator: P.E.I. Administrators
- New Principal Induction Program
This program is designed for those principals new to the role in September 2000. It is based on a mentoring model and will include both a local and provincial component.
